The Moscow Export Center (MEC), subordinate to the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development, will organize 12 business missions for export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses by the end of this year. They will be held online, as business activity around the world is still suspended due to closed borders. At the same time, cargo transportation resumed.
According to her, by the end of the year, metropolitan companies from various industries will be able to take part in online business missions with partners from Germany, Turkey, South Korea, China, Israel, Vietnam, Indonesia, Morocco and other countries. Moscow entrepreneurs will present their products and hold business meetings with potential foreign buyers.
In turn, the Mosprom Center of the Moscow City Investment and Industrial Policy Department prepared eight more presale events with foreign buyers for medium and large industrial and agro-industrial manufacturers. They will also be held remotely.
As part of the organization of each event, the specialists of the Mosprom Center provide a number of personal measures: they study in detail the competitive advantages of the products of Moscow companies for the effective conduct of pre-sale events and the correct selection of contractors, and carry out their verification. At the same time, the employees of the analytical department of the center are engaged in an up-to-date analysis of the target market, including the general market situation, the latest trends and factors.

The Moscow Export Center organizes business missions specifically for small and medium-sized businesses. They have been held since 2019. Their task is to establish and develop business relations between metropolitan companies and representatives of foreign firms. MEC carries out marketing and organizational preparation of events, analysis of the conditions for entering the foreign market, identification of potential buyers, preparation of necessary materials, and preliminary negotiations.
After the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the world, the offline format of business missions will resume, during which the GEC will provide entrepreneurs with platforms for presentations and negotiations, pay for the transfer for participants and solve other organizational issues. Then, remote meetings with business partners were held at 24 capital animation studios as part of the online version of the MIFA film market, traditionally held in the city of Annecy (France).
At the moment, negotiations are continuing between entrepreneurs from Moscow and Azerbaijan following the results of a diversified online business mission, which was held from 11 to 14 August. 18 metropolitan companies from the fields of mechanical engineering and equipment, information technology, electronics, medicine and the food industry presented their products there.
The Moscow Export Center was established by the Moscow Government. He works with entrepreneurs in the field of financial and non-financial measures to support and promote the products of metropolitan manufacturers to foreign markets. The key tasks of the GEC are to increase the number of Moscow exporters and implement projects for the effective development of their foreign economic activity.
